I was stoked to get accepted as a finalist in the 2020 Adam Portraiture Awards. The Adam Portraiture Awards are held every two years and this was my first time entering it.
The painting was of a man I saw around Northcote. I really liked the layers of jackets he was wearing, the blonde dreadlocks, blonde mustache, the facial tattoos and the rasta clothing. I liked how it was a real mixture of cultures on display in one person.

My painting was hard to get a good photo of because of the black background, but here's all the finalists of the gallerys official website https://www.nzportraitgallery.org.nz/adam-portraiture-award/2020-finalists
