By now most people have probably already seen the painting I did of Jack Ansett for 2025's season of Taskmaster NZ. I was asked with about a weeks notice if I could do a big painting of NZ comedian Jack Ansett for a challenge on the show. Made a super cut of some of the other art events I did last year. From some Urban Sketchers sessions, Plein air painting on our camping trip to Tongariro, Art battle at Eden Park in 2025 and Meet the Artists. Hopefully some bigger and better things to come for 2026. Got two exhibitions coming up this year, a group one and a solo one so stay tuned for that. As well as some more portrait and meet the artist events.

In December I had a great time being part of the Basque Park Summer series. Basque Park is a quiet little park almost inside a crater shape at Uptown/Eden Terrace. As part of our studio collective, I was doing 10 - 15 min portrait sketches. I had a great time and looked like everyone really enjoyed getting drawn. Was a pleasant surprise how busy I ended up being. Drawing almost non stop for 3 hours. Hopefully I’ll be back there in February.
