Auckland Art Battles in 2025

Had a go at some Auckland Art Battle events for this season in 2025. The first was at Ellen Melville Centre. I went into it not really expecting much, was really tired after teaching at AUT earlier that day and just wanted to get it over with. To my surprise I ended up going into the final round where I did one of my best 20 min paintings and had a really good time there. It was big crowd initially and a lot of fun. By the time it got to the final I think most of my friends had already left, so I didn't get enough votes to take it out but the winners painting was really good too.

I was then invited to the final at Eden Park, again it was a cool experience especially because I had a few friends also competing. For some reason that made it more fun. The well deserved winner was Nemesh who does really well with this 20 minute format.
